Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Saturday demanded tough and swift action against corruption and joined the debate on black money. He said there was a need to bring back India’s money stashed abroad. “There was two ways to fight corruption— swift action against the corrupt, and opening the door of politics to youths,” he told a news conference here on the final day of his visit to the state. Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, National Youth Congress president Rajeev Satav, MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre and AICC in-charge of state Mohan Prakash were also present. Expressing shock over the murder of Malegaon additional collector Yashwant Sonawane, Rahul said, “Corruption is a serious issue. We have to look at it systemically. We must ensure that such incidents do not recur... Corruption steals money from the poor.
