Alleging a “sinister campaign” by various agencies of the government against members of Team Anna and Baba Ramdev for “settling scores with them”, BJP president Nitin Gadkari has sought the personal attention of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to “put an end to the politics of vendetta”.

He alleged that the government “indulged in a clear politics of vendetta while dealing with leaders like Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in Gujarat, or some RSS and VHP functionaries on frivolous charges”. Nor was there any surprise when the government found skeletons in the cupboards of members of the family of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
