NOIDA: Bhatta-Parsaul had an eventful day on Wednesday. While a Congress-led delegation reached out to the farmers for disbursing compensation, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) took some farmers to meet the Cabinet secretary and express their grievances.

Meanwhile, a city court reserved the order in the case of the 22 farmers who were arrested by the police after the bloody clash on May 7. The farmers are still lodged in Dasna jail and the verdict is likely to come out on Friday. District judge Het Singh Yadav , after hearing the prosecution and defence, reserved the verdict. Farmers were not even produced in the Phase-II court. The prosecution has demanded more time citing ongoing investigation, while defence counsel said that farmers should be set free as the police have failed to produce any strong evidence against them.
