KATMANDU, Nepal -- Former Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, a pivotal figure in establishing Nepal’s fragile democracy who also helped broker an end to the country’s Maoist rebellion, died Saturday in Katmandu. He was 86.
