Mumbai: Riteish Deshmukh campaigned for the Congress during the last assembly elections in Maharashtra in which his father Vilasrao Deshmukh and brother Amit contested. Though the party he supported might have emerged in flying colours, it is still not a big temptation for the actor to enter politics.

The actor, who has found good success with comedies, admits that he has been typecast by the industry. "I don't think the audience typecasts you. I think it is the industry and the media that does it and I definitely have been typecast as a comic actor just because all such films of mine have done really well," he said. The actor revealed to us that he is dying to do a dark film as it is the only genre that he has still not tested his acting skills in and adds that his next movie will appeal to people of all age groups.
