CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Saturday said after June 2010 he would “leave politics and ministerial posts aside” and devote the rest of his life to work closely with the poor and the oppressed communities, such as Arundathiyars, for their empowerment in the State. Addressing a conference from Valluvar Kottam, his brainchild, the Chief Minister said that this was his answer to his own question whether he could make such an announcement (for working towards empowering the oppressed masses) while remaining in office.
