JAIPUR: With the telecast of a sleaze CD allegedly featuring the missing government nurse Bhanwari Devi with former minister Mahipal Maderna on Thursday, his fate was being compared with those of the doomed RSS-BJP man Sanjay Joshi and Congressman N D Tiwari.

A professed celibate, Joshi was similarly caught on a video tape with a woman in 2005. Joshi has since disappeared into oblivion, once considered to be among the most powerful RSS-BJP leaders sharing a bonding with the likes of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj. This, despite the fact that the authenticity of the tape was repeatedly disputed thereafter. Four years later, a news channel aired footage of alleged sexual escapades of the then Andhra Pradesh governor N D Tiwari. Within days, Tiwari had to make an exit from the governor's office, never to be heard of in active politics till date.
