Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday called upon the youth in Madhya Pradesh to enter politics and expressed hope that a day would come when young leadership would be at the forefront in the state. Adressing to a training camp of youth congress in Mdhya Pradesh, he said that the party was encouraging youth and pointed out to Dr. Manmohan Singh that the government has a number of young ministers in it.
On the membership drive conducted by the youth wing of the party, he said that the drive was a big success in Tamil Nadu as the organisation enrolled nearly 16,000 members in a state where the party had been reduced to almost nothing.
Taking a dig at the BJP, Rahul said that instead of supporting the Congress in its developmental schemes, the party is becoming an obstruction and issuing senseless statements.
