A new era of inclusive participation of youth in national service through politics is being ushered by Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, a Congress committee at its meeting here on Tuesday said. 'This meeting appreciates and supports the initiatives taken by the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) and the National Students Union of India (NSUI) under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi to bring about a new era of inclusive participation of youth in national service through an election based political process at the grassroots level,' the All India Congress Committee (AICC) statement said. The meeting of AICC members and Congress bigwigs highlighted the lack of development in tribal areas of the country. 'The lack of development leading to growing alienation of a section of the society, particularly in the tribal and other Left-wing extremism hit areas, has to be addressed urgently.
