The Colorado parents who duped the nation with their "Balloon Boy" hoax had their hopes deflated yesterday when a judge sentenced them to jail time.

Richard and Mayumi Heene were also hit with four years' probation, which can be revoked if they profit in any way from the Oct. 15 stunt. The hot-air con, which sent emergency workers scrambling after the parents falsely reported that their 6-year-old son, Falcon, was trapped in a runaway balloon, was intended to spark interest for a reality-TV show.
