Murrieta Valley High grad nominated for Tony Award - Press-Enterprise

Now 31, Hanggi is nominated for a Tony Award for best direction of a musical for the Broadway show "Rock of Ages." The Tony Awards happen Sunday night in New York and will be broadcast starting at 8 p.m. on CBS.

"I just knew this is what she would do," said her mother, Thenell Hanggi, who is in New York for the awards show. She said Kristin, a Murrieta Valley High grad, would call up relatives before they came over for family occasions and tell them what to bring and then she and her brother would put on a show.
