'Suspect' in Ronni Chasen murder kills self - New York Post

In a spectacular turn, a "person of interest" in the sensational murder of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen blew his brains out last night at a California hotel as cops were trying to serve him with search warrant, authorities said.

The man, whose name wasn't released, shot himself at the Harvey Apartments in Hollywood at around 6 p.m. local time as detectives were serving the warrant, Los Angeles cops said.

The stunning development came the same day a preliminary coroner's report indicated the killer of New York-born Chasen (above with Jeff Bridges at this year's Oscars) was an expert shot able to squeeze off multiple rounds in a tight, deadly formation.
