There are a number of operating systems out there, choosing the right one is often difficult as each has their own unique qualities. When it comes to value and performance, none can match Ubuntu Linux. To show you just how good this OS is, Cnet News decided to run a little test, by running World of Warcraft.

When we say value, you cannot get any better than free. The operating system is offered free from developers’ Web sites, allowing you to install the software on as many computers as you wish. To put the OS to the test, Cnet thought that they would run one of the most popular installed Windows programs, WoW. The whole process took under an hour to do, which started with downloading the latest version of Ubuntu, 91.0. Installing the OS is said to be very similar to Windows, so you have to burn a copy on to a CD and then boot the install from the disc. The installer will do all the hard work for you; just remember to choose how much hard drive space you want Linux to use.
